With the heart of the city in his hand Marquis Charleston better known as J-REEL, brings an old-school vibe with a crisp and young voice to Hip-Hop. At only 18 years old, he carries the heart of a lion but a soul worth gold. He can also be referred to as the The Young King of Chicago by those near and far of the windy city. J-REEL chooses not to be compared to any artist in the music industry with the determination of becoming the new hip-hop legend. As he has plenty of time to do so, this Young King Of Chicago is already getting his feet wet in the right places from displaying his freestyle talent with members of the Dungeon Family to performing songs for K-CI and JoJo.
J-REEL has been rapping and writing his own music since the age of 13. Such talent comes naturally for a young man who keeps his humbleness. He started out performing in school talent shows and freestyle battling with artists on the streets of Chicago to claim his crown. Prevailing through close family deaths, hardships, and fatal gun wounds, he brought his skill and ambition to Atlanta, GA to pursue his goals of becoming a legend. From the hood to the city night lights of ATL, J-REEL has already won several freestyle battles and competitions, as well as performed his unreleased single City Boy in various venues. He is currently and always spitting hot fire in the studio or live on stage as he waits to be tamed. Dont hold your breath ladies, if you would like to see this City Boy in your town, show some love.
