Young Male Spinsters is an exciting new collaboration between two distinguished Finnish artists - soul sensation Tuomo Prättälä and americana singer/songwriter Markus Nordenstreng (The Latebirds).
Earlier this year the two gentlemen were invited to play a festival together in Tucson AZ. The musicians spent all their downtime at Wavelab - an analog recording studio in downtown Tucson. These spontaneous sessions included Wilco's John Stirratt and Pat Sansone as well as various Calexico members who live nearby. As a result the two Finns ended up bringing an albumful of recordings back home to Helsinki.
Thus Young Male Spinsters was born. The band played their first official show in August opening for none other than Neil Young and were offered a recording contract on the spot.
Young Male Spinsters full length debut is due worldwide in 2014.
