The best kept secret in music

"CD review from"

"... The album gently sways from soaring melodies to caustic dissonance rather than jumping from chorus to verse without even a mild bridge. Not bad."
- J-Sin

"The Austin Chronicle - "TCB" April 15, 2005"

"A strong debut from the heirs to Fivehead's ragged indie-rock throne. If you don't recognize yourself or your friends in "Break Guitars," then you obviously don't live in Austin."
- Christopher Gray

"The Austin Chronicle - "99 Bands" July 8, 2005"

"Melodic indie rock... exploding in spurts of volcanic cinder. Twinkling guitar lines offset the intensity." - Darcie Stevens

"The Sculptures Fall E.P." - CD, 2005, independent
"untitle" - CD, 2006, shopping labels

"Pressing the Holes", #39 on Andy Langer's "The Next Big Thing", KROX, Top 50 songs of 2005.

Feeling a bit camera shy

In the space of one year, Youngmond Grand catapulted themselves onto the Austin scene, playing alongside local favorites Moonlight Towers and Li'l Cap'n Travis, as well as sharing stages with national acts such as The Heartless Bastards, Explosions In The Sky, The Solace Bros., David Dondero, and Will Hoge. They also provided instrumentation for Dondero's 2005 release "South Of The South" on Team Love records.
