Young News released his debut solo mixtape called "Christler Music" on April 7, 2011. His single "Kirk Franklin On Em" is inspiring the youth all over showing teens that you can have fun and be a christian. It has been aired over several online radio stations and it has lead him to articles in his Local NewsPaper and several Radio Interviews.

They say we can not have fun in the father's house. If we do, we are considered hypocrites. Some say Christians should leave the "worlds" ways behind us. However, our father takes what the devil meant for evil and he turns it into good! Coming from a rough neighborhood called Northside in Spartanburg, SC, I had my share of world play. Running with the streets, and living by the code "Ima do me" lead me into a dead road. However, I decided to give my life to God. Coming to Christ was the hardest decision because of the opportunities the world dealt me. But God, never said the walk would be easy. God developed me, Terrance Hawes, into "Young News" a uprising gospel rap artist from 627music. Now I am all about bringing the youth closer to God. My mission with this company is to bring the GOOD NEWS to the people that need it the most.
