Lucky Lou

The Young Pimps officially became a recording group in 2003 when group founder, “Memphis Black” and old family friend, “Lucky Lou” began recording sessions together. The two then moved to Miami, Florida and added two more members, “Gutta Chris” from Tennessee and “Sakrfyce” from Texas to form the Rap group known as the Young Pimps.

Founding member “Memphis Black” grew up traveling with his father’s bands, "Memphis Soul Singers" and "Masonic Travelers" as a drummer and singer since the age of nine years old and has been recording his own solo projects since the age of seventeen. His music interests and especially his passion for rap/hip-hop music led him to affiliating with some of the South’s well known recording icons like Oscar winning group 3-6 Mafia and recording with other national recording artists such as, Rap-A-Lot Records, N'yo Face Records and Street Game Records artist Mr. 3-2; Straight Profit Records artist “Youngstar”, and Dogg Pound Music’s artist “Lil Pimpin”.

“Lucky Lou” grew up in Tennessee and has always had a talent for lyricism that came naturally to him and was noticed by Platinum selling artist and 3-6 Mafia member “Country Black” and Sucker Free Records artist “Lil’ Flip” who both included him in recording sessions and tour dates.

“Sakrfyce”, originally from Texas is known as an underground mix-tape icon thanks to his being featured on countless recordings made by aspiring hip-hop producers throughout the State of Texas.

“Gutta Chris”, who was also born and raised in Tennessee also beginning his recording career on the underground mix-tape circuit.

All members of the Young Pimps compose and write all of their own music and lyrics, except where noted.
