Rapper Enrico Westley, professionally known as Young Reek, is a native of West Palm Beach, Florida. His ambition and dedication to whatever he believes in has made him a top performer in everything that he touches, from sports and now to rapping. He first discovered his hidden talent for rapping around the age of 12 and hasn't stopped fighting for his goal to become like the artist that inspired his style the most, LL Cool J. Like many young men he was inspired to write by a young lady that he wanted to date. That song turned into a lifetime passion for becoming an artist.
Young Reek starts his career with a bang working in collaboration with some of the industry's best. He has been working on several projects lately, but he finds that making the songs isn't as difficult as preparing for the performance. His manager, Round, has been handling his artist development and pushes him to build up the endurance to perform the whole show without losing his breath. Not many people understand how difficult it is, with a loud crowd he would have to practically yell the entire time, with the big adrenalin rush it's extremely difficult just to get through a song and still have that same energy that you originally stepped out on stage with. Back in high school Young Reek was the running back on the West Palm Beach High School football team. But sense graduation, he made sure he gets out to the gym 5 days of the week, and squeezes in a little football on the weekends. He avoids fatty foods, and he's a big fan of protein shakes.
One of his most exciting moments so far was when he opened up for Rocko it was a great experience. His single Gurl has received a lot of attention and he has been invited to perform at schools. This song is one of the reasons he has been compared to LL Cool J. But, Young Reeks ultimate hero is his dad, he always tell him to "always observe and be aware of your surroundings." One of the visions that Young Reek has is to be successful so that he can give back to his father. He recalls the sacrifices and struggles that his dad dealt with without complaining. That is the perfect source of motivation that is needed to overcome any ups and downs that he might face in this industry. This West Palm Beach rapper is eager and ready to embark on his new journey. He is currently in the studio working on his untitled debut cd. His manager, former road manager for LL Cool J, Jaheim and many other top R&B and hip hop artist. says he sees something special in Young Reek. He has the passion and motivation that it takes to break into this industry, says Roundtree. We have been Lucky to work with producers who have made noise in their own rights.
