Young Rell's story begins in grade school in his home town of Memphis, Tennessee. At only 11 years old, he was already creating lyrics and performing in front of his classmates. By age 17, hip hop had become more than just a hobby, it became his dream. Since then, Young Rell has dedicated all his time to making that dream a reality. To help make that dream a reality, Young Rell signed with Six Finger Productions in early 2006 and is now ready to take his game to the next level.
Some of Young Rell's influences include Lil Zane, Fabolous, Nelly, LL Cool J, and Cassidy. Though he looks to these artists for inspiration and musical influence, Rell will tell you that he brings a whole new sound to the industry. With my songs I want them to be different from the same old stuff you can hear on the radio everyday. I want to make something that will make you bounce and make my fans want to listen to the whole album, not just the 2 or 3 singles they hear on the radio, Rell explains.
When Young Rell isn't busy in the studio he enjoys whooping his friends on the X-Box or Playstation, playing basketball, and spending time with his family.
Six Finger Productions and Young Rell are currently working on some hot new tracks and fans should keep an eye out for Young Rell to open some upcoming tours. Check back frequently for the latest information.
