Young Scratt

Born on February 13, 1990, Darien Lemar Hamilton of Cleveland, OH, is emerging as an artist in the wake of such talent as LiL’ Wayne, T.I., Ludacris and more. With the music industry in constant change, based on the demand of the public, Darien, now known to most as Young Scratt, believes that his hard work, dedication, constant gain in knowledge with understanding the industry and self promotion, is what is going to set him apart from others and will help aid him in taking his career to the furthest point God will allow.

Young Scratt was initially known as Young Scrapp, but due to copyright issues he had to change his name. After changing his name, he began to grow and evolve lyrically; and started to do what he likes to call “hit making” or “making a banger”. Over the years he developed the drive for music; to love, be successful, and give music his all.

Young Scratt’s work can be found on most social networking sites including, but limited to, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and ReverbNation. Scratt has determined that such sites have helped him get to where he is today. Though most of his performances are local, his music, which includes his hit singles are “Why What’s Up,” which is a well known Facebook song, and “Silly Bandz” which has been played on RadioOne and is currently being played in states on other radio stations throughout the U.S. including North Carolina, Texas, L.A., Tennessee, Nevada, Mississippi, and Chicago just to name a few.

As he is currently focused on his music and perfecting his craft, he also plans on going to college in the near future, to not only further his education in business and music, but to help him become the best possible person he knows he can be. Scratt understands how important education is and looking forward to knowledge he will gain from earning his degrees, allowing him to take his craft to that next level, aiding him in the development of his artistry lyrically, mentally, physically, and emotionally. Young scratt continues to strive, grind, and hustle hard to please his fans and reach his goals, to be better than the next.
