My Name Is Kevin “Young Star” Lizaire. I started writing Rap Lyrics in 5th grade in 2001. Being influenced by popular Hip-Hop artist like Ludacris, Nas, Dmx, Dead Prez, Tupac, Tribe Called Quest and so many More… I’m also influenced by Many Different Genres of music such as Jazz, Reggae, R&B, Kompa (Haitian Genre) and of course Hip Hop. I was born and raised in a Haitian family in Hartford, CT. In the summer of 2005 I moved to Windsor, CT is when I recorded my first song with my cousin. As I started Building on song writing abilities I got in to much more than just rapping. Through my music, I talk about what society is like in my eyes and I also speak on my personal experiences and struggles focusing on uplifting and bringing further understanding of the world to the world. Since then I got a hold of recording software and became interested in Audio engineering. I also Produce, make Beats and I Do Photography. I’ve performed at Lilly’s Pad Several Times Been to Rhode Island to showcase for DJ Kay Slay and Have Been in Many Other Local events such as Club performances at Cloud 9 in Hartford for Musicology 101. I’ve performed in Collinsville, Ct for an arts and music festival. Currently working on 1st studio album entitled L.I.G.H.T.

I am Also One Half of the Connection; A Group That started in 2007 and started as two Rap Groups that Combined. As the other Artist went their separate ways G Dot O and I, Kept the Connection Alive. We’ve Been Working Hard to put out the Music you hear from us and we’ve been doing it consistently. We are currently working On Several Projects: “Brothers of the Lost Tribe”, “L.I.G.H.T.” And “The Black Power Mixtape”, “Untold Prophecy”, “Book Of Ghazi”.
