Feeling a bit camera shy

“YOUNG STUY” Born Levar Jeigh Woodbine is one of six children whose father and mother moved to Brooklyn in the early 80’s. While his parents where visiting their home of Jamaica in 1987 “YOUNG STUY” was born. Both of his parents are musically inclined, with a mother that sings and a father that’s deeply rooted in reggae music. Growing up “STUY” heard music all day; his older brother Randy was an around the hood DJ, and it was that; that sparked his interest in performing. At the tender age of eight “YOUNG STUY” began to freestyle {rap} over his brother’s vinyl records. His older brother and then next door neighbor stood in awh as the eight years young “YOUNG STUY” shined free styling for the first time. “STUY” traveled a lot as a youth both here and abroad. He spent a lot of time in England and Jamaica which both have a strong influence in his music. It wasn’t long before he was noticed by others for his talent. In Miami he gained swift popularity as a young New York rapper. Again more would recognize his break out ability landed him a ghost writing gig at one of Miami’s premier recording studio’s {Fire House Studios}. There known as “TRIX” he sharpened his skill. Today “STUY” represents all the youth of Bedford Stuyvesant Brooklyn, home of Jay –Z and the late great Biggie Smalls. “YOUNG STUY” is a representation of the youth in Brooklyn whose dreams are mirrored by “YOUNG STUY” for the masses. In his writing he brings a vivid picture to music. You want paradise, a do or die attitude, then that forever will be “YOUNG STUY”.
