Bio:  Young Tai - ARTIST - PRODUCER

As a performance artist, producer and writer, Young Tai possesses the range of talents necessary to take the music industry over.   From smooth and soulful hits like ‘Shanita Applebum' to radio bangas like ‘Shake' and ‘MySpace, Facebook,' Tai will take you on a musical journey through a young man's heart and soul.  Raised by his grandmother, Tai relocated to Sandston, VA when he was 12 and began to focus on his love of music. While he has been writing since age 9, he is also able to freestyle off the top with such fluidity and wit he quickly takes over any cypha or battle he graces. Featured on DJ Reese's '50 Tongues 100 Lungs', Tai has also been plastered on the pages of the quarterly ATL magazine ‘Bout to Blow'.  Teaching himself keyboard sampling and mixing techniques, he has slowly built up a collection of over 4,000 beats and poised himself to flood the market with Young Tai production classics.  His flavor and swagger is influenced by the likes of Blue Magic, Jimmy Castro Bunch, New Birth, Stevie Wonder, Switch, Michael Jackson, Chaka Khan, Tribe, Common, Nas and Jay Z.  As Tai says, "I listen to them all, too many to list.  I look forward to collaborating with many artists in the industry with my ultimate goal being the betterment of our community.  I want to resuscitate Hip Hop, because it's not dead."
