Young Trae' was born August 5, 1985 in Houston, Texas and raised in Jackson, Mississippi. He began rapping at age 10 and made his first mix-tape at age 13. At age 14 in 1999-00 is when he fell in love with a new passion. He began producing with a casio keyboard and recording new songs with a karaoke. He recorded about 25 songs. In the summer of 2001 he was introduced to MTV Music Generator beat program and Fruity Loops 3 by Eries "Heartstopper" Cornelius. Hearstopper gave Young Trae' the "ears" of producing. 6 months into producing on Computer Software Young Trae' had over 300 beats. At age 16, Young Trae' now began creating his own projects with all of his original material. Young Trae' became an apprentice using Acid Pro 4.0 and Sound Forge 6.0 from hands-on experience and observing Heartstopper's Recording processes. By April 02, Young Trae' had closed to 50 songs. His first contest he sign up for was for a Reebok Commercial. At age 17 Young Trae' dropped a 6 song promo for his 1st Underground album titled "Four-Thirty". He got a small gig performing at a local skating ring with his uncle who was a formal radio DJ for 99 Jams WJMI. Fall of 2002, He got with a group named THT (The Hard Truth). The group consist of rappers "Trajik aka D.Y.G." and "Heartstopper". The 3 artists made a mixtape full of diss tracks and serviced all the highschool classmates, selling over 600 units. In May 2003, Young Trae' released his Four-Thirty album to the Jackson public. In August 2003 Young Trae' went to Las Vegas, Nevada and enrolled into (UNLV) University of Nevada Las Vegas. He majored in Business Management while saling his Four-Thirty album on Campus. The album sold over 2,000 units. During the process of migrating to Las Vegas Young Trae' lost over 600 exclusive beats. Winter 2003 Young Trae' created his own Record Company name Style Entertainment The Empire. In Spring 2004, at age 18, he took his revenues and recorded at the largest studio in Las Vegas, Digital Insight. He recovered from all of his lost works and produced 800 more beats from 2003-2005. By June 2006 He was producing for only 13 artists. He stayed in the studio the whole summer of 06 and made 70 new songs. At age 21 he gradually start doing opening acts at night clubs in Vegas. Nov. 2006 Young Trae' introduced to the urban neighborhoods the "Lit Squad". The 17 track album was title "Style Ent. presentz the Lit Squad". It was the 1st compilation made under Style Entertainment The Empire. The album sold over 2,300 units. By Summer 2007 He was producing for over 45 artists. Fall 07 Young Trae' Released a second group album, titled "Tha Kick-Doe". The album features 16 artists, and has sold over 2,000 units and has over 13,000 plays on Myspace. Young Trae', currently 22, has over 2,700 beats. Spring 2008 he performed at a few night clubs in Jackson, Mississippi and did a showcase at Club Fanatics to open up for Soulja Boi and Hurricane Chris. Currently he is working on his promo for his second solo album titled "Time 2 Be X-posed". The promo is dropping Fall 08 and the album is scheduled to drop in local music stores in Las Vegas and Jackson in January 2009.
