Your Robot Friends

Your Robot Friends is an alternative rock band from Kansas City, drawing its inspiration from folk rhythms, rock riffs, and blues melodies. The resulting combination yields a dynamic, genre bending style that will have you tapping your foot and asking for more. The band recently released their demo tracks for streaming, and is currently preparing their debut album with growing anticipation. 

On an evening in Fall of 2013, Bryan Klote (Guitar) and Clay Beasley (Guitar/Vocals) ran into each other after 10 years. While catching up, they discovered both had been writing independently for several months. The two exchanged some tracks via email, and shortly after decided to get together to see what, if anything, would come out of it. The contrast between Clay’s folk based songs and Bryan’s rock roots led to an intriguing combination. After months of writing, and honing their style, the duo was ready to add members. After a few changes, the group settled into the current lineup. Brett Woolley (Drums) answered an ad put out by the band. Brett brings an immense amount of prior music experience, and his hard hitting beats bring an added element and drive to the tracks. A fellow musician and friend introduced the guys to Steven Cochran (Bass), and things clicked immediately, both musically and personally. He adds the much needed bottom end grove to the group. With the lineup complete, Your Robot Friends set out to refine their tracks, and fully define their sound.
