Your Best Bet

BandPopPunk

We're a high, energy pop punk band from LaSalle, Ontario. The only way we can describe ourselves is that if Good Charlotte and A Day To Remember had a baby, we would be that baby.

Biography

Your Best Bet is made up of three guys trying to find their way in the world, trying to enjoy life with their friends and be happy with the shit hands they’ve been dealt. With Eric Scott Bezaire on vocals and bass, Collin Giofu on vocals and guitar and Jeremy Lavergne on drums, these guys play a highly energetic show, influenced by old school and new wave pop-punk bands.

All three of them were together in band, Desertion, and after getting bored of playing generic metal-core, and each having a love for pop-punk, they decided to start Your Best Bet.

Each of the boys have strong influences from old school pop-punk bands such as Blink-182, Good Charlotte, New Found Glory, The Movie Life and NOFX, not to mention their influences from new wave bands such as Four Year Strong, Major League, With The Punches, The Wonder Years, Man Overboard and Handguns, just to mention a few.

Having the previous metal influences that they do, the instrumentals are relatively different from what you hear in most pop-punk bands. The drums are fast, heavy and flow with each song. The guitar is “riffy” and “chordy” like some hardcore bands you hear, but in a happy/melodic way. They have bass that’s pounding, dirty and aggressive but still technical. All of this put together with vocals that are melodic yet aggressive, with back and fourth singing between the two vocalists, epic chants and choruses.

November of 2011 will bring the release of their debut EP titled Minor Set Back. With their catchy guitar and bass and their heavy drums mixed with their melodic vocals, this EP is bound to be a hit. Recorded at Visceral Studios in Windsor, Ontario.
