Your Gentlemen
Hillsborough, New Jersey, United States
Bio
Who doesnt love a home-grown New Jersey rock outfit? Your Gentlemen germinated in a basement in the suburbs of central Jersey, where seemingly every bored teenager with a few guitars and a couple of friends had the same idea. Area pop-punk bands thrashed and flourished, but Your Gentlemen thought it best to stick to the music they knew and loved; the sounds that had brought them together in the first place.
Some years after the idea was born, the band left the basement, starting first at local and legendary venue the Court Tavern in New Brunswick, New Jersey, where bands like The Smithereens and the Gaslight Anthem got their start. A warm reception gave way to more gigs, and soon the boys had played across New Jersey, New York City and Pennsylvania, headlining the Bam Margera-owned Note in West Chester, PA, Mexicali Live in Teaneck, NJ and hopping onto festival bills hosted by Philadephias 88.5 WXPN-FM. The band is comprised of four members: Matthew Ryan on rhythm guitar and voice, Tony Aichele as lead guitar, Richard Varall on bass guitar and Frank Scerbo playing drums and percussion. Their first EP, Play Their Songs was self-released on July 4, 2012 and is available on iTunes, Amazon and is streaming on Spotify. Their follow-up debut LP, "Sincerely," is due March 2013.
