"Top 30 Song Faves of 2014"

"“Let It Move You” is the fantastic single she released this year. Whether or not her training at the Canadian College of Performing Arts helped is unknown. One thing’s clear though: this gal’s got talent. "-CMB - Canadian Music Blog

Bio

Michelle Thibodeau is a 22 year old up-and-coming singer-songwriter born and raised in the Maritimes. She migrated to Toronto in pursuit of the musical opportunities the city can provide. The acoustic-driven music style has always been Michelle's aim, as she has a passion for the organic sound that it represents. She co-produced both her albums with this live-sounding style in mind. Her 2014 single, "Let It Move You" is a glimpse of the new material she has been writing and showcasing at various gigs in New Brunswick and Toronto. This single has lead Michelle to a new level in iTunes sales, radio airplay and recognition.

Although she is still young, Michelle is extremely ambitious and is already well-accomplished. She is a graduate of the prestigious Canadian College of Performing Arts in Victoria BC, and in the summer of 2012, she was a finalist on CBC's Over the Rainbow,  a search to find Dorothy for Toronto's production of The Wizard of Oz. This opportunity ultimately lead Michelle to perform a solo for Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber at his resort in Barbados.

In addition to singing, Michelle has a passion for many instruments, but her favourites are guitar and piano, because they accompany her renowned vocals and help facilitate her song-writing. Michelle is very diligent in all facets of her musical career; In addition to developing her gift of music, she realizes the value of learning the business side of the industry and the various processes of music production. To further this aspect of her musical education, Michelle is delighted to have received the maximum scholarship to attend Coalition Entertainment's Artist Entrepreneur Program February-April 2015.

Coming out of the AE Program, Michelle hopes to record new material implementing the knowledge she gained. Her long-term goal is to establish a career sharing her original music as a Canadian solo-artist.
