Lequan Woods (aka “YQ”) was born and raised in the Bay Area, California. YQ knew at an early age that he had an exceptional ability to communicate and had a lot he wanted to say. Encouraged by his family all the time, he has what it takes to make it…and will!
Influenced by the likes of The Notorious B.I.G and Fabolous, he began to put the pen to the paper at the age of 13.
Over the years, he continued to write as he began to work towards taking music to the next step, becoming a professional artist! Within the first two years of his beginning, he had completed numerous, albums, mixtapes and was also part of many rap groups from where he recorded most of his albums. As he began to grow and improve, he began performing at events throughout the Bay Area (talent shows, clubs, functions, contests).
Working with an up and coming record label as well as collaborating with other talented artists affiliated with the company, his music is about to be taken up another level.
