Bio

The union of five guys with a lot of energy to show, combined with the trends of a new emerging Brazilian music scene, makes Yugoslavos a brand new band with its own language, which results in an indie-punk guitar riffs and danceable melody.

Influenced by the traditional scene of Manchester (and not forgetting the american No Wave scene) and bands like Gang of Four, PIL, Killing Joke and Happy Mondays, the band is from one of the most important music city of Brazil nicknamed "São Paulo’s Manchester", or simply Sorocaba.

Through the eyes of the night bohemian, their songs talk about interpersonal relationships that cross our paths each day, as well as the effects (adverse or not) that time do with human being and the will to live - so intense and full - and the simple ability to feel.

Formed by Felipe (vocals), Julio (guitar), Marcus (guitar), Murilo (bass) and Silvio (drums), Yugoslavos keep going doing lots and lots of great and new stuffs: released last month there’s a new EP called "Are They Bad, and Ugly they Are Here ", which features a single produced by the ex-member of the ended band Wry (a Brazilian-uk based band) and today one of the owners of the renowned local bar called Asteroid Entertainment (one of the biggest indie bar in Brazil), Mario Bross. The same EP that earned the funny clip of the track “No Handcuff”. For the next steps, so much to come.
