MIss Yuli (Minguel) & The LOnDOn KIngs is a heritage of James Brown FUNKSoulENERGY sensation. In line with their own Sound created the " Futureristic Rock n Roll" EP. Believing in the connection of beings, serving and being a part of the "We are one, generation".
Miss Yuli approaches her writing from a straight up funky twist, combining this with long time friend and producer aka beast soundcreater Joveek Murphy. Joveek Murphy's fresh exploring sounds with use of vocals drums and freaky creative exploration manifested the fureristic rock n roll EP .
Authentic yet easily in line with the contemporary sounds of Janelle Monae,Sharon Jones, Macy Gray, Gnarls Barkley and the dynamic voice timbre of Tina Turner, Jocelyn Brown, Janis Joplin. Louis Walsh describes Yuli Minguel as an up to date mixture of Tina Turner and Bett Midler in the daily mirror. Dutch music journalist Stan Rijven describes her as one of the biggest authentic soul singers of Dutch Caraibean mainland who easily fits in line with her American soulsisters Angie Stone, Jill Scott, Aretha Franklin.
Her selfwritten debute album with producer and her longtime brother from another mother Joveek Murphy, she has written in a period that she was working on other artists projects. Within her songs easily grew on her with the challenges of life. Being seperated for two years from her partner due to Dutch immigation law has not have had a bad influence on writing the album and finnally releasing her innerbeast. Releasing the innerbeast as in 100% dealing with her weaknesses and finding the strenght to aim for individual goals on sexual , sociatel, friendship area's without any selfcreated boundaries is the theme of the Release the beast album and showcase.
