Javon Martin, better known by his stage name “Yung Fresh,” is a 16-year-old rapper and recording artist, as well as a Dorchester native. While only 16, Yung Fresh has worked and performed with popular artists including: Ne-Yo, B.o.B., D.M.C. (RUN-D.M.C.), Michael Franti, Tom Hamilton (Aerosmith), Mac Miller and DJ Drama.

Yung Fresh began rapping at the age of 9 in the cafeteria of his elementary school. What started out as freestyling in the cafeteria soon developed into producing songs and eventually full-length albums. In 2006, Yung Fresh became a member of Studio Heat.

Fresh is inspired by artists such as Nas, Biggie Smalls, Big L, Kanye West, Jay-Z, Drake and Lil Wayne. He has released two albums: “Undiscovered” and “Live Life Now”. Both albums exhibit Fresh’s incredible talent as one of Boston’s up-and-coming hip-hop artists.
