Bio

Sherron (Yung Matic) Logan

Yung Matic was born Sherron Logan on May 3, 1990 in the city of Camden, NJ. He was born to Ms. Monique Logan and Mr. Walter Pone. Because of the drugs, violence, and murders in the city of Camden growing up was rough; by the age of twelve, Yung Matic would move out of Camden with his family; unfortunately the environment he moved to was not very different to the one that he had just left behind. There he would find no peace and tranquility, no security or stability; being the oldest of three boys there was always weight on his shoulders to keep his brothers safe and living in this environment bothered the young Yung Matic.
Years went by and Yung Matic was forced to adapt to his environment, he would get caught up in gang fights, riots, and shootings, Yung Matic seemed to be heading down a deadly road to self-destruction at very rapid pace. Yung Matic realizing this decided to take these experiences and life struggles growing up in the streets and put them into music. Some inspirational artists were Tupac, Biggie, Jay-z, Eminem, and Lloyd Banks. These were the artist that would ignite a passion for Hip Hop and the Rap game.
About six years later he moved out of Chester and into Hagerstown, MD to be with his other side of the family. There Yung Matic noticed that the rap scene was totally different from up north were he was raised; but growing up learning to appreciate all types of music and rap Yung Matic instantly adapted to the new sound which only added to his versatility and creative style.
Yung Matic stayed in Hagerstown 2 years and during that time Yung Matic met a beautiful young lady that would give his first child. After the child was born Yung Matic would move with his new family back to Camden hoping for change.
Yung Matic was home for only a few short months when he was invited to a studio session with a group called “2 loose;” There he met the group “3 Da Hardway,” they would collaborate on a Lil Wayne track and would instantly fall in love with what they heard; They knew that they had something special. Yung Matic was approached by Rashaan Hornsby better known as “Big Homey”. He informed Yung Matic that they were short a member from “3 Da Hardway” and would like him to join the movement. Yung Matic was then invited to another studio session to record with the other two members of “3 Da Hardway”, Mike (Credentials) Craig, and Andre (Dre’ Dollaz) Redd. The chemistry was incredible and the three vowed to take the Rap game over, now they have a message to the world “WE’RE COMING.”
