Yung Nate

YungNate, a Harlem born poet turned recording artist, grew up in the music industry.
With a mother that worked at Jive Records, he was afforded a real introspective view of the music industry. That view allowed YungNate to know at a young age that entertaining was the only thing for him to do.
YungNate attended High School at The Frederick Douglass Academy and soon met Charles Hamilton; which would prove to be a fruitful relationship.
They eventually began recording at the school’s studio and would both become affiliate artists of Demevolist Music Group, which became an imprint of Interscope Records. Yung Nate released multiple recording projects during that time.
A few years later YungNate decided that his talents would be best used as a solo artist. And of course, with the support of professional management that would focus on his career.
Through that transitional process he released one project entitled, Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth, through DealWithNoDeal, a website YungNate founded.
DealWithNoDeal allowed him to always have a form to release songs and content without censorship.
After the successful launch of the website, YungNate decided to sign with Atkboyent, a management company based in Los Angeles.
He left the hustle and bustle of NY behind in favor of the palm trees and sunshine.
Los Angeles being the capital of the entertainment business was also a major driving force in his decision.
Currently YungNate is gearing up to release his first project with AtkboyEnt entitled. “I Heart YN”. A four-month campaign of material will be released, providing an in-depth glimpse into everything YungNate.
I Heart YN will be available February 9th 2011.
