Bio
The shottaz were all born in Zimbabwe and are currently based in Auckland, New Zealand. The group which includes three MCs and one vocalist, bridges two urban genres of music which are; Dancehall/Ragga/Reggae and Hip-Hop. Growing up in musically inclined environments has been key in this group’s success in producing quality music to date. The Shottaz came together in 2007, subsequently releasing their debut EP “Game Plan: The Inauguration EP”. In 2008 the YS sound was improved with the support of local producers (High Stakes Records, Force Productions and Payne Productions), releasing an international single “Pon di way” which has since received much recognition and positive ratings from listeners, DJs and other artists across the globe.
