Jamar was born and raised on the south side of the historic city, Memphis, Tennessee. This nineteen-year-old has been pursuing his career as professional recording artist for the past five years. When asked how long has he been rapping, he replies “I have been rapping and writing for as long as I can remember however, I became serious about it about five years ago”. What sets him apart from any other rapper is that he does not rap or write about negative topics. He tries to keep everything positive because he feels that the hip-hop world is judged unjustly because of the things some artists write about. Jamar’s style is fairly diverse from others who rap in the southern part of the nation. His different technique and the issues he write about help him in pursuing his career. Yung Tank is an exceptionally enduring person. He doesn’t like to lose so he never gives up. His will to succeed and competitive spirit will advance him above all doubters and all competitors.
