Yuri Honing is probably Holland’s most important saxophone player, according to Penguin Guide to jazz on cd and the Oxford Introduction to jazz, with touring experience in over 50 countries and a discography of almost 30 titles.
Honing played and recorded with greats as Pat Metheny, Charlie Haden and Paul Bley. In 2001 Honing received the Edison Award (Dutch Grammy) for his recording Seven, featuring Paul Bley, Gary Peacock and Paul Motion.

Wired Paradise is visual music.

Their debut double CD Temptation was released in 2006 and instantly received an Edison nomination.
In 2008 they released their second CD Meet Your Demons. Most compositions on this album are inspired by recent masterworks from Hollywood, such as Kill Bill, Usual Suspects and L.A. Confidential.
Though originally a jazz player, Honing developed a taste for people like Björk, Iggy Pop and bands like Goldfrapp and Radiohead.
Honing uses jazz, rock, dance and electronics fearlessly to proof his point that jazz is not a style but a language. Style doesn’t matter it is all about communicating modern times through music.
On Meet Your Demons Honing and his band confirm this with lavishing rock, hypnotising electronics and roadmovie tunes.

Wired Paradise consists, besides Honing, of Frank Möbus and Stef van Es on guitar, Mark Haanstra on bass guitar and Joost Lijbaart on drums.
Möbus is a remarkable Berlin based musician who gained cult status in the European music scene thanks to the accomplishments of his trio Der Rote Bereich. (ACT records)
Lijbaart is Honing’s long time friend and indispensable rhythmic alter ego. With his innovative playing Lijbaart is the driving power on the one hand and on the other hand the ever-alert sparring partner.
Stef van Es (former guitarist of rock act Anouk) forms the counterpoint for Frank Möbus, with both a rock and jazz background. Bass guitarist Mark Haanstra is the newest member, with experience in both jazz and modern music.

2009 will be the year of the White Tiger Tour based on their third CD which will be recorded in Mumbai (Bombay) in February 2009.
