Talking about Yuri Ortuño León, in music, is talk about one of the best examples of American folklore, possessing a warm of well-pitched voice is accompanied by the feeling that prints in each of their performances, both in their different recordings As in his live performances. His voice reflects the aggressiveness of his hometown Huanuni (Oruro), Bolivia's mining land with its arid geography Yuri breathes loud ring later that is gaining sweetness of sentiment to make the fertile Cochabamba valley his home and inspiration; is where this young singer-songwriter unleashes his sensibility as a composer of writes the songs that eventually would be marked success in his musical career, but also where tours were designed for different artists carry important scenarios where he could show the wealth of the Bolivian of Latin American music, particularly the "PROYECCIÓN" group, which was founded in late 1979.
By participating in the 7 th NATIONAL FESTIVAL OF SONG Bolivian Oruro in 1975 as a starting point with his brother Ernesto, Yuri Ortuño later with other young people who then leave the birth of what initially were Projection BOSTON directed by the great singer Ulises Hermosa, then seal of put up the group projection, the former director of principal composer until 1995, nine were the albums recorded by the group, which are printed with the voice of Leon of Yuri Ortuño are 9 Gold Records of a double Platinum awards were achieved sales of them.

In the year 1995 left the famous Yuri Ortuño Projection Group emerge as a solo singer, with the freedom to amalgamate his singing of his work with great musicians with whom usher valuable musical contributions.
He shared his singing with the likes of Eddy Navia, Sukay Group USA, Dexter Mejia Perez (AS TO WHICH Duo), Group Anthology of Peru, etc.. But would their plates solo record which will become one of the great American folk musicians, not just what comes to music, but as a sensitive human being proactive with a message through his compositions.
Yuri Ortuño currently is working to produce songs of a popular and particularly the rhythms that characterize Native American peoples, bringing a message of love, hope of faith, his songs involve massive concerts that Yuri could give to his audience for 30 recent years of show productions that touch the heart of his audience, all with the backing of her group called "The New Projection", in the last 13 years has visited several countries in Latin America, Europe and USA North America. Has recorded over thirty five albums of a popular folk and seven of Christian worship
