Biography

Born in the town of San Luis in the province of Pinar del Rio, Cuba.
His penchant for art began at 6 years, integrating a community project for children fond of culture, which was to sing nursery rhymes and songs that were famous in the 80's.
At 9 years, he was singer and guitar player of the child's group "Súmate" This group had a major significance throughout the province.
He began studying music at the School of Art "Raul Sánchez" and later at the School of Professional Overcome "Carlos Hidalgo" (both located in Pinar del Rio), where he eventually graduated in the specialty of percussion .

Since early childhood he won several awards in various Festivals and Events Kids, as a singer and percussionist.
As a professional musician has worked with various groups of different genres as: Salsa, Latin Jazz, Ethno Jazz, Concert, Trova, Pop-rock, contemporary, Afro-Cuban Folklore, dance and percussion.
He have composed music for dance and percussion sets, not only with instruments but also with rustic objects such as frying pans, cans, spoons, fans, drums, etc..

Hi has played with very important musicians like: RICHARD BONA (jazz); DAVID MURRAY AND CUBAN ENSEMBLE (jazz); PABLO MILANÉS (singer); ORQUESTA NACIONAL DE JAZZ (España), RAMÓN FARRAN, LUIS COBOS AND SPAIN JAZZ BAND, COQUE MALLA (cantante), NESTOR TORRES (jazz), JORGE PARDO (flamenco jazz); PEPE RIVERO (jazz), SARAY MUÑÓZ; GENARA CORTÉS; CHELO PANTOJA (singers of flamenco); BEATRÍZ LUENGO (singer); CARLOS MAZA (jazz étnico); RAÚL PAZ (singer); MIGUEL NUÑEZ (jazz fusion); “SONLAR” (Percussion, Dance and Theatre Show), and many more.
Hi has also made special constributions with ANTONIO CARMONA; JUAN CARMONA; PASION VEGA; CARMEN PARIS; and much more.
