When you get hit by the song "Dirtier Than Sin", you know it's going to leave a mark. Edgy storytelling, contagious melodies and driving grooves are merely the tip of the iceberg when it comes to defining Zabeth Dkos. A self-styled songstress, Zabeth has been writing and producing her own material for the past decade. Backed by a five piece band and a monster pre-sequenced production, Zabeth's performances both live and on record are striking and memorable.
Zabeth started her career in the dance music genre and worked with the Groove Club, Yakoo Boyz, MuchMusic’s Jetfuel (Electric Circus) and producer Matthew Gerrard (Kelly Clarkson, Avril Lavigne, Hillary Duff). “Working in the dance music genre was how I got introduced to drum machines and sequencing which eventually led to fully producing all of my own stuff.” With an undying loyalty to groove, Zabeth began to combine hip-hop drumloops with edgy guitar and piano, bringing about an innovative and distinctive style.
While she vocally produces a sound that evokes images of popular stars such as Gwen Stefani, Alanis Morissette and Kate Bush, she remains uniquely individual in her lyrical style, personality and image. With what is described as a "natural and powerful stage presence", Zabeth entertains and delivers with an energy and emotion that few artists are comfortable parting with.
Her debut CD ‘Unsigned Undefined Unapologetic’ has been warming up in the cage for a while now…
