The first act was Zac Maras.
Maras was born in New Orleans and raised in Franklinton. He is a graduate of Franklinton High School. He writes his own material and has been playing with drummer and long time friend Matt Young for years.
Maras' original folk meets country songs delighted the crowd. Maras is blessed with a good tenor voice. Maras' most recent CD is "Pretty in the Country." He funded the production costs with a Kickstarter campaign. The CD is available for download on Amazon. Samples are available at the Amazon site. I particularly like the fun and bouncy cut "Something Sweet." - The Times-Picayunne
