"Kissing Electric"

Christian Colabelli, associate editor of Berklee College's newspaper "The Groove," wrote;

Kissing Electric. Sounds like a supercharged erotic fantasy courtesy of a posh designer drug cocktail. And that's just what this Berklee band is attempting to convey with their seductive, swiriling, synth-coated sonic landscape. Vocalist Zac Barnett is the mastermind behind Kissing Electric, which also consists of bassist Grant Himmler, keyboardist Joe LaChance, and drummer Skylar Campbell. Barnett's predilection for sublime hooks splashed with 80's decadence, melded with undeniably danceable disco beats aim to please. Head to "myspace.com/kissingelectric" and check out a taste of the band's sugar-coated, electronica-inspired, pop-friendly ditties. On "A Night to Remember," Barnett sounds like a cross between Brandon Flowers and Simon LeBon as he croons over flanging guitar and New Order-esque sixteenth-note-laden drumming. "Solid Gold" begins with a Strokes-influenced guitar passage, a melodic synth line as irresistible as candy. The crowning achievement of this tune is a four-part harmony chant, which casually instructs "Take off your clothes."

Kissing Electric conters on being aurally arousing, and is a must for fans of VHS or Beta, The Killers, and The Bravery. They will delight anyone who fell in love with 80's synth-pop. Be sure to check out this band in action!
