Bio
If you haven’t yet witnessed the barn-burnin’ dynamics of the Zac Brown Band live, you’ve been missing out! On the rise as one of the best up-and-coming bands in the south, the Zac Brown Band continues to win over droves of new fans, selling out shows from Atlanta to Birmingham to Athens.
Zac’s love for the great outdoors, cold beers, and good friends, comes through in his songs, which are one part personal and sentimental, and another part raucous and humorous. If Jimmy Buffet had a younger brother playing music in the Georgia wild, he might be Zac Brown.
Zac’s style is acoustic-based, but don’t get the wrong idea, your jaw will drop as you bear witness to Zac’s frantic finger-pickin’, hand-thumpin’ nylon-stringed guitar solos. A true "Redneck Renaissance Man", Zac’s shows are a world of “chicken-fried” mayhem where fans toast the sky (domestic beer in hand!) in unison to their favorite parts of his songs.
In 2006 Zac was added to Bonaroo as well as 10+ other prominent summer music festivals including City Stages (Birmingham), Beale St. Music Fest (Memphis) and Riverfest (Little Rock). Playing over 250 shows a year, Zac has sold over 15,000 CD’s independently and is currently the #1 unsigned artist on Myspace for southern rock. Sponsored by Jagermeister, Zac has also made numerous TV and radio appearances including the Rick & Bubba Show, Turner South, 99X in Atlanta, and Fox.
So, if heaven is having “your toes in the water and ass in the sand” or “a cold beer on a Friday night” and wearing “jeans that fit just right”, you’ll swear Zac Brown is your guardian angel.
