Zach & Foes

Led by the charismatic son of a preacher man ZACH & FOES translate their nordic spirit and soul into solid and substantial sound waves. Zach, singer and songwriter, was born, already with a moustache, in a cave in the cold mountains of the Faroes - mountains that predate the pyramids and a country that has absolutely nothing in common with the ancient kings of Egypt. Raised by the sea and the rocky mountains of the north he learned to sing like the wind and make music like the rain and when he was old enough he swam north to see the volcanos of Iceland, brother of the Faroes.
Iceland, it turned out, had a lot more to offer than just burning stone and flying ash and together with his new found friends he formed the band ZACH & FOES.
The songs are musically and lyrically grounded in the likes of Elvis, Cash and Dylan, but well clothed in a modern rock suit with a very colorful instrumentation all over the place - his raw voice, accordions, organs and banjos, hootin' and hollerin' above the drums, bass and guitar. The simplicity of the songs is seductive and deeper than you'd think, a bit like the ocean.
The band's debut album is expected first thing next year, flown to the rest of the world by a flock of seagulls. So stay excited, and let the two already recorded songs warm you heart, that's how we do it up here!
