"BRINK new music showcase"

The Zachary Burns Band is just singer/guitarist Burns and Drummer Marshall Bertram, but the duo's full-bodied tornado of Blues and Rock has enough inherent power and soulfulness for an octet. Like that other Ohio Blues duo, The Black Keys (or non-Ohians Led Zeppelin, for that matter), Burns and Bertram take their vintage Blues inspirations and inject them with a fiery, modern spirit. - Cincinnati Citybeat

"Mid Point Music Festival guide"

In Cincinnati, sometimes you have to take a second after
hearing a loud, booming noise echoing through the valleys.
Are those post-ballgame fireworks? Is a storm rolling in? Or
maybe that rumble is just the aftershock of Cincy power duo
The Zachary Burns Band pounding away in a sweaty club
somewhere. They are a force not without finesse, conjuring
up a fireball of riffs one moment and slinking along on a
juiced-up Soul groove the next. Though “rockin’ Indie Blues
duo” likely conjures thoughts of a couple of other band
names immediately, don’t be fooled — with Roots, Folk
and Country Blues also surging through its veins, the ZBB’s
volatile, muscular fusion is a distinct blend.

D.I.Y. Released April 29, 2011

Zach Burns likes to leave his body and argue with God. Music is a good way to do that. Zach acts as song writer, creative director and band leader; even though there is no set band. Playing with a rotating selection of the best drummers this country has to offer keeps the shows fresh, crazy, and spur-of-the-moment. Zach does his own recordings but those are just road maps: starting points for the real fun of the show.
