Bio
Zack Ferguson has been driven by music his entire life, with a wide range of influences. Whether it was classic rock of the 70’s, hairbands of the 80’s, or 90’s alternative, each piece of music listened to contributed to Zack’s development as an artist. Bands Zack still loves and influence him to this day are Better Than Ezra, Third Eye Blind, Dave Matthews, Matthew Sweet, Duncan Sheik, Nine Days, Counting Crows, Goo Goo Dolls, New Radicals, Collective Soul, Tonic, Phish, Bob Marley, Semisonic, Jack's Mannequin, Gavin Degraw, Jack Johnson, Soul Asylum, Dashboard Confessional and Jason Mraz.
Zack Ferguson’s songs are a mix of his influences and own personal style. The great thing about having such a wide range of musical tastes is that his original music varies in style and sound as well. While many current bands today put out an album and all of the songs sound exactly the same, Zack’s music strives to give each song its own personality, feel and style. His lyrics are heartfelt and tell the story of life. The guitar work is original, alternative and rhythmic creating a percussive feel. The vocals round out the package in telling the story behind the music.
Zack can be heard performing his original music and mix of covers in clubs, bars and restaurants in Milwaukee. Several times a month he also leads the music for his church’s (Hales Corners Lutheran) Sunday School program and plays original and classic children’s music at grade schools in the Milwaukee area.
