Biography

Up-and-coming bassist Zach Brown is an 18-year-old native of Columbia, Maryland quickly establishing a name for himself throughout the country. He has studied bass with many well-established bassists including John Clayton, John Lockwood, Herman Burney, Oscar Stagnaro and Pepe Gonzalez. Zach has performed at venues including the Detroit Jazz Festival, Yoshi’s Jazz Club, the Duke Ellington Jazz Festival, Blues Alley, and the Kennedy Center and has been fortunate enough to play with distinguished artists such as Slide Hampton, Terell Stafford, Taylor Eigsti, and Paquito D'Rivera. He has been awarded three Student Music Awards from Downbeat Magazine. Zach is currently pursuing his collegiate studies at the Brubeck Institute at University of the Pacific.
