The best kept secret in music

"The Palm Beach Post"

Zach Ziskin has mastered the art of hook-writing. Not annoying hooks that burrow themselves into your brain uninvited like a Come On Eileen parasite. But a gentle melody that makes its presence known and does not overstay its welcome. In other words, Ziskin's Real as the Memory, is good pop music. An impressive vocal range, subtle key changes, impressive guitar work and gradual tempo sweeps ebb and flow as God intended. Calling to mind artists like Bleu or Remy Zero, Ziskin's music immediately sounds familiar upon first listen. This is not to say his music lacks originality, but tracks like Falling to Pieces and Guess I Always Knew are so infectious, you'll feel like you've always known them. Real as the Memory opens with Figurine, an effects-heavy piece showcasing Ziskin's ardent falsetto as well as his guitar skills. And before you know it, after traveling through a collection of thoughtful lyrics and engaging melodies, you're at the closing. Ziskin ends with If the World Could Talk, a timeless piece with a pleasantly unobtrusive string arrangement. The South Florida native is no stranger to the local music scene, having fronted Passion Seeds in the late '90s. - Christa Nieminen

"The Sun-Sentinel"

One guy who doesn't have a problem with writing memorable hooks is Zach Ziskin. Ziskin's latest is a marked jump forward from his work under his previous moniker as the Passion Seeds.

The opener, Figurine, is a guitar-pop gem unheard by radio ears since one-hit wonder Tal Bachman. There are plenty of highlights to choose from. The ghost of the late Jeff Buckley is faithfully resurrected in Waking Hour, which bears some serious resemblance to Lover You Should've Come Over.

Got Pop? This is a talent that will go far. Zach brings some very moving music to the table. First of all, the vocals are an incredible mix of feeling and harmony. I also got into the melody backing them. Good changes, catchy tune and just .... well ... awsome!

Zach Ziskin obviously has his s**t together. In my opinion the music I downloaded was platinum material. Tal Bachman would be a comparison I could make with this stuff ... I can't think of anyone better to compare. I enjoyed the material I got from Zach and I see him getting play on the top stations before too long.

In closing, let me recommend Zach Ziskin to anyone who wants to be entertaineed by a talented artist who obviously knows what music is all about.
