Zack Dyer

Zack Dyer was born a baby. Today, he is a 22 year-old singer/songwriter/producer from the Twin Cities of Minnesota with a debut album set to release on November 1st, 2011. Inspired by artists like Jack Johnson, Stevie Wonder and Weezer, he took on a passion for music early. Even his talented father and sister, who were an award-winning Christian singer/songwriter tandem had a major influence on his musical endeavors that he began crafting as early as nine years old. While his first “hit” titled “Ode to Granny” did not make it past his immediate family, he continued to pursue songwriting and currently has active fans expanding throughout the Midwest.

Today, Dyer has performed with popular local artists such as Mason Jennings and Semisonic’s, John Munson. In November 2009, he was recruited by a local A&R scout and signed a recording contract with High Chair Productions in Minneapolis. He began recording his first full-length album, Somewhere On My Mind at "The Hideaway Studio", one of the most reputable studios in the Midwest. As one of the primary producers for the album, Dyer got the chance to exploit his musical background and recent business degree to help fashion an album that exhibits his personal vision and co-producer’s expertise. Dyer stands out at various local venues in the Twin Cities such as The Fine Line Music Cafe and The Varsity Theater with his catchy, fresh style of organic pop/rock, referred by some as “Sunny Day Music”. Often compared to artists like Eric Hutchinson and Jason Mraz, Dyer undoubtedly takes on a unique artist identity and looks to be a promising pop gem ready to surprise.
