ZAKEE is a producer/songwriter/vocalist signed to Ben Bronfmans label Green Owl/Warner Bros.
His music,unleashes a fantastic collision of alternative,electronic, hip hop,and World music.
With such a diverse array of sounds comes a diverse crowd of listeners, which has led to
ZAKEE’s music jet setting and going global. His surprisingly off-beat influences, have allowed
him to break down musical genre barriers of exclusivity.

”while The Huffington Post states“his set is next level, setting a high bar for the other acts ”.
Since the age of 11, music has been an integral part of ZAKEE’s life. His father played piano
and his aunt a choir director, both influencing him to pursue music academically; studying
Classical and Jazz music theory, then playing the piano and violin at the prestigious
Settlement Music School. Soon after he attended Howard University,where he produced
tracks in his dorm room while graduating with dual degrees in Mathematics and Computer
Engineering.
Timing couldn’t have been more perfect,ZAKEE made the serious decision to pursue music
full

time and moved back home. Philly had begun to embrace the new hip hop/electro
music scene and managed carved out a little space for himself. Shortly after he found
himself with the likes of M.I.A’s artist Rye Rye where they recorded “Gangsta Girl” for NBC’s
Friday Night Lights creating a big buzz as Indie Artists. He is currently producing and writing
songs for some of the heaviest hitters in today’s music industry.
By truly uniting an astounding array of influences under one roof, ZAKEE prepares to
display exactly what can be achieved when intelligence, understanding and creativity come
together for the greater good. In the last 2 years ZAKEE has established relationships with some
of the Greatest musicians in the world such as The Roots,Erikah Badu,M.I.A, and Seun Kuti .
