"Télérama Sortir"

“ (…) ZAMAN Fabriq wants to try out a new dare, yet another challenge. A dare that explodes on the stage, where cultures collide even better than on the disk.” -

"Mondomix"

"The mixture of various cultures and musical styles has arrived at something as exciting as it is different. Zaman Fabriq is the result of the coming together of Bruno Allary (saz, mandole, guitare), Isabelle Courroy (kaval), Philippe Guiraud (bass, keyboard) Cheikh Zeïn Mahmoud (High-Egyptian vocals) and Tiko (beatbox) to produce a unique type of music that mixes traditional Egyptian and Turkish vocals and instruments with contempory human beatboxing and digital synthesis." -

"Trad Mag"

“ (…) Towards a musical Mediterranean basin. Here, like the sea is surrounded by lands, ZAMAN Fabriq honours the shores and builds innovative musical and human bridges (…). An album full of energy, which whines like an engine and takes us far away.” -

"Nouvelle Vague"

“(…) Pure world music. (…) An uncommon music, beautiful thanks to its delicacy and lightness.” -

"Babel Med"

“The album mixes traditional Turkish, Syrian, Egyptian or Bulgarian melodies and songs; musical adaptations of Sufi poems of the mystical Ibn Al Farid; and collective compositions. We admired the beautiful flute solos of Isabelle Courroy.” -

"César Mag"

“(…) Like temporal and geographical bridges between ancient and modern instruments, Bosphorus or East-Europe rhythms. This is the kind of music you can see!” -

Bio

ZAMAN Fabriq (the Time Fabric), is composed of different musical time frames. The Sufi chant from High-Egypt, the Turkish Saz and the Kaval flute, interlace their melodies with synthesizers, saturated guitar sounds, all underlined by the energy provided by the bass and the Human Beatbox (vocal percussions). ZAMAN Fabriq creates unsuspected musical and human gateways by reminding us with panache of the surprising concomitance of different practices, ritual and secular on the one hand, electric and contemporary on the other, of one united Mediterranean.

Definitely Mediterranean, it is situated at the crossroads of world musics and music of today, when Egypt, Balkans and beatbox melt.
