Zandra Brown

Zandra Brown was born in Guyana, South America. She grew up listening to artists like Tina Turner, The Beatles and Bob Marley, whom were inspirational in her passion for music. When she came to America with her family at the age of 18, she never lost her dream of reaching out to others through music. After many disappointments that occurred in her life and a lack of direction, Zandra began to seek deeper answers and meaning for the future.

In 2004, she turned her life over to God and began singing in her church choir. In May of 2008, her career progressed to songwriting. She wrote her first song "I Will Not Be Shaken," which was inspired by some difficult times in her life. In about eight months she wrote over thirty five more songs.

Zandra Brown's style of music is a combination of pop, soul, jazz, rock, funk and blues. No two songs on her first CD, “Because You Love Me” sound the same. Zandra refuses to keep God in a box by confining her talents to one style or genre. She will capture your attention with her powerful lyrics and stage presence. Zandra’s music is personal, heartfelt and comes from deep within her soul. Her desire is to reach lives and touch hearts through music.
