"Zaydo Music Review"

Right away, it’s clear that NorCal artist Zaydo revels in creating intricate vocal arrangements, blending styles for unexpected results that, together with his song’s hook, are a trip to behold. “20/20 Vision” has a message of perseverence (“I just gotta see it through”) with high harmonies and a hooky chorus. “To Die For” has a big bass presence and spurs Zaydo to bring a deep melodic voice that reminds us of Kid Cudi. The song’s melancholy piano, paired with a fast trap beat, is a winner. “Final Hour” is a smoldering track spiced with skittering hi-hat and what sounds like crispy-crackling vinyl. By turns catchy and unpredictable, Zaydo’s recordings are the work of an artist who’s not afraid to try something different. - Music Connection Magazine

"Top Ten Submissions"

"Zaydo Takes Us On a Journey of Reaching Creative Focus on “Back In The Mix”"

Gradients of tone and texture swirl in at the beginning of Zaydo’s “Back In The Mix” as though brought in with the breeze. Warping melodies flutter, bubble up and come in and out of focus as his flow of words anchor the ethereal beat and ghostly backing vocals in a story of grinding in the world juggling priorities and struggling with relationships and situations that undermine your time for your creative work. It’s a song to remind himself and us to not lose sight of our goals and what’s important without needing to couch it in misplaced tough-minded bravado. At just under three minutes the emotional journey of the song subtly runs deep with a soundscape that so vividly expresses a time and place in your life when you need to assess the state of things without getting distracted. The sounds almost representing city sights distant and near while driving or walking about and reflecting on your life and sorting through it all in your head until you reach clarity of focus. In doing so, the song is that process of sorting out but giving it a dreamlike quality that makes it creative rather than simply self-therapy. - Queen City Sounds and Art

"Zaydo is back with 'Wolves Outside'"

North California-based indie rapper Zaydo has delivered a new project Wolves Outside, which is a 15 track body of work that displays the rapper’s versatile style that bridges the old with the new. The project has a solid production that blends lush textures, trap drum grooves with catchy melodic raps.

From the intro, Zaydo lays down the law with his statement over a moody and punchy trap backdrop and reminds listeners not to sleep on his skills. The features are far and in between and on the guitar-laden “Let Go” he teams up with J.Lately for a reflective piece that listeners can latch on to. On “Vibin” he makes use of a dreamy and bright textured upbeat trap backdrop as his canvas to deliver a catchy and engaging piece. On “The Way Up” he takes time to reflect on his journey and how his work ethic has gotten him ahead in the game. On the somber “Talks with God” he teams up with Alessandra Rose and the result is an honest and heartfelt track that sees the rappers dining deep into their struggles and tribulations over a solemn backdrop.
Overall, Wolves Outside gives a somewhat balanced view of Zaydo and his life to some degree while throwing in some bravado elements in the mix. - The Word Is Bond
