ZayMaTiC

Zaymatic is a 19 year old rapper from Oakland Park, Florida. Zay, as he's affectionately known, has been rapping since the fifth grade. He grew up an only child and was raised by his father, Pops. Although she was not a part of his life for so long, the loss of Zay's mother in 2008, along with losing his grandfather shortly afterwards, would shape ZayMaTiC's music forever.

Zay focused on playing football during high school, when he wasn't getting in trouble with teachers for cutting class and being disruptive. During his senior year, Zay was recruited by D1 and D2/D3 schools and had an opportunity to continue playing at the next level. Even after making the county All Star team, bad knees and marginal test scores ended his dream of playing football.

ZayMaTic released his first mixtape, Genesis, on 5/3/2014. Since that time he has opened up for: The UnderAchievers, Dizzy Wright, Curren$y, Denzel Curry, Lil Debbie, Yung Simmie, Waka Flocka and more. He was a featured act on the Burnin Mad Tour in California...he rocked the mic at the Rolling Loud Festival in Miami and turned it out at SXSW 2015. His second mixtape, Chronically Waiting, was released 12/25/15 and included the break out hits, Hazy and Young N Free. This year ZayMaTiC will continue his journey with performances at AC3, a campus tour as well as new music and videos.
