Zebra and Snake

Zebra and Snake are two friends Tapio and Matti, who as they described after a day of feeling ‘grey’ they wanted to uplift themselves and their surroundings with healing vibes. They sat down by the organ and in a second the music started to stream out of their fingers and mouths.

The sound of Zebra and Snake is formed of analogue electronics, ambient and kraut-y soundscapes with anthemic and haunting vocals, blending into a mix of timeless pop of their own.If you don't want to be too modest, you could think of The Knife crossbred with Stevie Nicks hanging around with Bowie in Berlin

Zebra and Snake have done A LOT of gigs the past year, including Finland, Sweden, France, UK and Switzerland. Last october they played a world tour or a kind, Filter Collide Festival in Los Angeles, USA, dates in New York, Shanghai, China and Tokyo, Japan.All in a few weeks time!

ZAS have finished recording their carefully crafted debut album and it's doing it's circles in late 2010.They are produced by Berlin based production house Kaiku Studios who are also behind recent success of other Finnish bands like LCMDF and Joensuu 1685(whose drummer Markus Joensuu is also a part of ZAS new live setup).
