Biography

Zebra Tracks is a dynamic indie rock quartet from Athens, Greece that uses guitar, bass, drums and two mouths to blend the sounds of post-punk and shoegaze pop with banned police chemicals and a havoc-wreaking stage show.

Zebra Tracks' debut 2006 double A-side single “Silicone Valley/Borealis Fallacia” (BuySomeRecords) was followed in '07 by their eponymous Zebra Tracks EP and the band's full length, critically-acclaimed 2009 debut LP, A family picture from…Zebra Tracks (Sonic Playground). The Zebras have performed live around Europe on the festival circuit, playing with the likes of Placebo, Faith No More, Unkle, Yeasayer, Kaiser Chiefs, the Levellers, Long Blondes, Good Shoes, Television Personalities, the Chap, Death in Vegas and many more...

Zebra Tracks’ latest studio work includes the singles “Isabelle Creeps” and “Bicycles”, which were self-released digitally in late 2011 to blogs and critics around the world as a foray to their brand new LP, Collective Guilt – which will be released in North America on July 17th, 2012 by Miami, FL independent label Limited Fanfare Records.

The new order in Greece that was placed by the world capital crisis and the social explosion that followed, have left the band more inspired and passionate to explore new musical paths on Collective Guilt. From the wall-of-guitar, My Bloody Valentine-esque “Bicycles,” to the staccato dance stomp of “Party Is Over” and the soaring, thematic hard rock of “We found a reason to live and we called it God,” Zebra Tracks have made a fully pedigreed, complete rock album.

Lyrics

ISABELLE CREEPS

Written By: Zebra Tracks

sabelle strips... on her own
Drawing a smile... of her own
Foolish and naive... in her home
Blood in her hands... from now on

She was terrified
She fell down on the floor until he's gone
He won't pay no mind
He won't touch her again from now on

She made it all up... on her own
Shuttered inside... of her own
Isabelle creeps... on the floor
Biting her lips... closed the door

She was terrified
She fell down on the floor until he's gone
He won't pay no mind
He won't touch her again from now on

You said you need me, why did you lie to me
I'm on my own
You said you would die for me, how did you die for me
From my own hand

BICYCLES

Written By: Zebra Tracks

Bicycles go, you're on your own.
Wishing away just for one day
to take you back to Clapham Common.
Bicycles go, what's with the bikes
chained to the racks, railings and signs?
And I lost mine.

Bicycles go, your on your own
over the bridge. Let it on me
to take you back to Camden Road.
Bicycles go, story unfolds.
You had a fine day.
Look at your face as it radiates
