"The album carries an interesting tension between the antique and the modern, the root and the antenna, the rural and the urban. Its sound texture is really cool, relating to lots of cool stuff (Africa, Caribe, Samba, the outback), and yet there is something there which is truly genuine, unique. Showing maturity in his inventive work, and confidence in his poetic overview of the society, Zé Cafofinho does make a statement with Dança da Noite and his compositions, with musical arrangements that bring a singular mark to his work. The instrumental erudition of the album has a fine, sophisticated sound, and, at the same time, it dialogues fluently with sweet, catchy lyrics that stick to the brain like "mangaba" juice. The intense, low-pitched voice of Cafofinho reinforces the originality of the sound.

The album was completely recorded in a "high-quality-home -system" or in a 'home-studio", - a trend which has become popular among many artists, for it gives them more freedom in the creative process- it was mixed by Berna Vieira, an old mate of Tiago in his musical experiments, and then mastered by the "most-wanted" Gustavo Lenza (who works with artists such as the singer Céu). It took nearly two years of production until the record got to the shops.

He is definitely the link that chains up the band, "Correntes"("Chains"), who accompanies him since 2006, when he started his solo career, with the album "Um pé na meia e outro de fora". Cláudio Negrão (Bass), Leonardo (electric guitar), Márcio Oliveira (trumpet) and Rapha B (drums), this last one also a member of Orquestra comtemporânea de Olinda; give a peculiar mark to the band's formation, presenting its authenticity when on stage.

Trajectory: Songs of other projects of the artist, Variant, Originais do Sample and Songo, are also in ‘Dança da Noite’. A trajectory that brought joy, with the songs, Conceição, that spawned the opportunity of recording a videoclip, by the prize Criando Imagens, of the Instituto Criar (SP), in 2007; Meio de Transporte, which was selected in the same year to be part of the collection ‘The rough guide to Brazilian street party’ (England, Wmusic Network), with songs of other artists like BNegão, Lulu Santos, João Donato, Marcelinho da Lua; and Espinhos, a partnership of Originais do Sample with China, another versatile and charismatic character of the cultural scene of Recife.
