Z-STAR (Zee Gachette) is an international singer-songwriter and musician, born and based in Brighton, UK. A musicians’ artist admired by many musical heavyweights including Jimmy Page, Nigel Kennedy, Roger Daltrey & Quincy Jones.

As a recording artist Zee has sold over 2.5 million in combined compilation sales worldwide, with a music career that has produced five albums - three Z-STAR and two SLOWTRAINSOUL. Her records have been released by various international labels including VirginEMI, Sony, Wagram, Universal, Playground, Quango and Tommy Boy with many songs featured in European Films, Commercials, TV series and Fashion Shows (Ugly Betty, CSI, Six Feet Under, Californication, Brothers & Sisters, Velvet Mag, Cell C, Vaio, Ya Juice, Armani, Diesel).

She has a myth-like reputation that quietly spans the globe. After an explosive performance at London’s Jazz Cafe’, journalist John L.Walters wrote “Range, power and style..one to watch out for" - Evening Standard. She has performed on global stages to audiences up to 250,000, including the Royal Albert Hall, Radio City Hall, Jazz Cafe, Ronnie Scotts, MTV Live, Villa Ada, Arrezzowave, Glastonbury, Polish Woodstock, Kimberley and more. She has had inspiring collaborations (writing/recording/performing) with; Nigel Kennedy, Keziah Jones, Max Sedgely, Spleen, George Benson, Richie Havens, Sinead Mathew Herbert, Knight, Isabellia Rossellini, Gabin etc.

The past year has seen Zee return to the UK, tour Europe, Russia and the USA, become an ambassador for Positively UK, begin collaborating with world loopmaster champion Shlomo, 60’s psychedelic rock legend Arthur Brown and recording on Nigel Kennedy’s new stunning album “The Four Elements” (Sony/Live Nation Tour). She’s currently writing new material with BritAward winning UK producer Youth. To be released Spring 2012.
