Bio
Zee Santiago is a rising Hip Hop artist and an ambassador of Hip Hop culture. He has already achieved success in the industry opening for stars such as Drake, Big Sean, Common, Lupe Fiasco, Mario, Fabolous, Red Café, Travis Porter, Camron, Juelz Santana, K'naan, Dead Prez & KRS-One.
Zee has shared the stage with these artists at legendary music venues like the Apollo Theater, SOB's (Sounds of Brazil), Nuyorican Poetry Café, Bowery Poetry Club, The Bushnell Theater and Toad's Place.
In addition to moving audiences with his music, Zee Santiago inspires those around him as a grassroots organizer and distinguished brother of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. After being awarded a full tuition scholarship to Trinity College by the Posse Foundation, Zee founded the first college chapter of KRS-One’s Temple of Hip Hop, co-organized the Annual Trinity International Hip Hop Festival, and completed his undergraduate degree in Anthropology.
While completing his Masters in American Studies, he remained focused on music and establishing himself throughout the north east as an artist. In doing so, he has performed at renowned educational institutions such as Phillips Exeter, Phillips Andover, Proctor Academy, Yale, Tufts, Wesleyan, Stone Hill College,UCONN, SNHU, Springfield College, and Trinity College.
Over the last eight years, Santiago has worked with Hip Hop luminaries such as Jeff Chang (author of Can’t Stop Won’t Stop), Charlie Ahern (Director of Wildstyle), Byron Hurt (Director of Hip Hop Beyond Beats & Rhymes); and has received media coverage from the NPR, The New York Post, The Hartford Advocate, The Chicago Tribune, and URB magazine for his music and contributions to Hip Hop culture.
