Essentially a one man band performing all guitars, synths, bass and drum programming, Zenfín is the brainchild of New Hampshire-based Mark Luz. In his credits, Luz cites Steve Vai and space-rock band Ozric Tentacles with inspiration, rounded out by influences like Pink Floyd and Carlos Santana. A most promising guitarist and composer, Luz is also influenced by Eastern school of thoughts like Buddhism and Tantra yoga and the meditative flow of "The Journey Within" reflects this as well. Luz employs his PRS Custom 24 and Roland GR9 guitar synth to great avail and his percussion programming and bass adds a lot to the overall sound. A solid instrumental CD with the right shadings of New Age and Prog-rock, "The Journey Within" covers a lot of musical grounds indeed. - 20th Century Guitar and MWE3.com

Zenfín is a solo artist who doesn't follow any particular genre when he writes his music. With many diverse influences from many different genres such as classic rock (Zep, Sabbath, Rush, Floyd etc...), blues (B.B, Albert Lee, Muddy Waters), Jazz (Miles Davis, DiMeola, Loius Armstrong), New Age (Kitaro), Metal (Maiden, Priest, Slayer, Opeth), and other instrumentalists (Vai, Satriani, Malmsteen). What makes Zenfín different and unique from the rest is the music successfully takes from all the genders just mentioned and melds it with other aspects of world music to create a fresh new sound we're calling Industrial New Age. Zenfín's goals are always to push the musical boundaries as far as possible, mixing new and old sounds to create something new each time.
