Bio

From promoter, to lifestyle marketing specialist, from DJ, to writer/producer - Doug C.’s (DJ Zen) career in the entertainment industry has been Ever evolving. Just as his corporate name and identity indicate (Six Nine Infiniti), Zen's view and approach to the industry has always been to look beyond the norm. Like Earth Wind and Fire’s September, Doug knows that the lifespan of a product and/or identity depends on one’s ability to develop ideas that are not only good for the moment, but ones that will maintain mass appeal years after inception. Whether it’s searching for that hot, dance floor rocking artist or song that no other DJ has broken in yet (or has forgotten about), scouring trade magazines for the next new event marketing trend, or keeping up with ever changing world of DJ and music producer toys, Zen knows that staying ahead in the game means keeping informed.

As a DJ, Zenmystics has opened for artists such as Alma Horton (Lady Alma) and Van Hunt, and has played everything from small lounges, and big clubs, to high end private and corporate parties. His corporate clients include the McDonald‘s Restaurant Corp, Young Friends of The Philadelphia Museum of Art, and Synygy Corp. "I love playing to a crowd where I can run through every genre, both classic and new music, in a 4 hour set. Classic funk, rn'b, hip-hop, rock, house, Latin - I blend it seamlessly, and play to the crowd…The “Oh sh**!” is what I like to call it. You know - when you play that song that nearly everyone in the room loves, but no one’s heard in a long time, and they all smile and go “Oh sh**!” If I don’t get that reaction out of a room at least a few times during an event, I don’t feel like I’ve done my job right.” And doing it right every time out is what you can always expect from this DJ.
