Zephyr Knocks is an extremely creative and original Rock band based out of Lowell & Allston, Massachusetts. Their vibe is laid back yet with a long pulling, distorted electric sound . The artists come together with an open canvas for each song and start throwing down paint in a Pollack like way.
FACTS bout Zephyr Knocks
1. Zephyr Knocks consists of Mike Lombardi of the one-man-band Starshine and The experimental project MikeL & The Frequency Response, with Layna Dakin and Adam Parkinson of the band Sweet Release.
2. Zephyr Knocks formed in the beginning of 2008 and immediately recorded a two song demo and are currently writing and arranging for their first full length album to be recorded and released independently in the summer of 2008.
3.The band is based out of two major cities in Massachusetts. They have a dedicated and growing fan base in the cities of Allston/Boston and Lowell.
4. The rhythm section of the band, Layna and Adam have toured and played all around the Northeast with their previous band Sweet Release.
5. Mike Lombardi has recorded several local acts for his Stellar Evolutions production Co. and works out of his own studio, Nebula Studios and is currently recording a multi-instrumental solo album under his Starshine moniker also to be released independently in the summer of 2008.
6. Zephyr Knocks is reluctant to do publicity style photo shoots. We do not like to put on our serious bad ass faces in vain attempts to attach an image to our music. We want our music to speak for itself.
